Advanced Phonics

This is our second level of phonics. Children are introduced to digraphs, including beginning digraphs and ending digraphs. Children will continue to learn new vocabularies. Children will begin to attempt unseen dictation as well.

Similar to our Playful Phonics course, each combination of digraphs is associated with a tailor-made story which helps to enhance children's understanding of the phonetic sound. Children are expected to do simple writing, unseen spelling and understand the meaning of the vocabularies by making simple sentences. Learning through play is our core value, and children will continue to learn through play at this level. We have included different games and activities associated with our unique stories and sounds.

Objective of the class:
* 5 different books (including 27 sounds)
* able to decode and blend advanced words which include (digraphs / long vowels / magic silent e)
* unseen dictation
* creative sentence making
* simple grammar rules
