How do we make children fall in love with writing? How do we help children create a piece of work that is written by them independently? With their own original and creative ideas... This class is filled with discussions amongst the children, and we encourage them to develop as many ideas as possible.

We introduce the importance of descriptive writing in story writing, and we use different literary devices to enhance the piece of writing. For example, children will start off by using similes, metaphors and personifications in their writing. It will later develop to completing a whole story book with 5 chapters. All the work created by our children is original and unique.

Other areas of writing include newspaper, poem and essay writing. To keep the fun and activities we also do all sorts of experiments and treasure hunt to engage and involve our children in all the discussions. We believe that participating in the activities will allow our children to understand the context more and as a result, this would assist them in writing more descriptively.
